The Vice President (VP) of Strategic Initiatives is a key executive leader responsible for driving enterprise-wide initiatives that enhance growth, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. This role partners closely with the CEO and senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans, lead high-impact projects, and optimize multi-site healthcare operations. With a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration, the VP ensures alignment between business strategy and operational execution. The ideal candidate must be located in the Arlington, Virginia area with the ability to be present in the office a few days out of the week.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead enterprise-level initiatives such as operating model redesigns, technology transformations, and organizational restructures to enhance efficiency, agility, and volume.
  • Provide executive oversight of complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, stakeholder alignment, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Lead the planning and rollout of new service lines, markets, and business models, ensuring alignment with organizational capabilities, regulatory considerations, and market demand.
  • Drive the design and implementation of standardized, scalable processes across clinical and non-clinical operations, leveraging performance improvement methodologies and automation where appropriate.
  • Serve as a key strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership, shaping and executing initiatives that drive enterprise growth, operational scale, and lasting value creation.
  • Identify and drive high-impact strategic opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and affiliations; oversee due diligence, integration planning, and execution.
  • Lead the development and execution of corporate strategy, including business planning, financial modeling, market assessments, and scenario analysis to inform investment and growth decisions.
  • Support ongoing business development efforts by assessing new market opportunities, conducting competitive and financial analyses, and developing go-to-market strategies.
  • Utilize enterprise analytics, partnering with data teams to generate insights that inform executive decision-making, performance tracking, and strategic planning.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required, MBA or relevant master's degree preferred.
  • 10 – 15 years of progressive operational leadership or strategic planning experience, preferably in a multi-site healthcare practice setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to guide and motivate teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a tactical mindset.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful strategic plans.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Advanced knowledge of strategic planning methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the agility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Professional certification in data-driven process improvement and implementation methodologies (ex: Lean Six Sigma, Agile, etc.), strongly preferred.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel functions.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience using an EMR system, preferably Athena.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • A satisfactory background check inclusive of driving records, criminal records, employment references, education, social security, and OIG exclusions.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Located in fast-paced, professional office and clinical environments with a noise level that is generally moderate.
  • Regular use of standard office equipment (including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, etc.).
  • Extensive and regular periods of sitting, standing, bending, walking, seeing, talking, and listening.
  • Adequate visual acuity including ability to read information.
  • An occasional requirement to reach with hands/arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • An occasional requirement to push, pull, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability/flexibility to travel as needed.
