The FP&A Analyst will work alongside the Director of FP&A to provide the Company’s financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects. They will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making. This role will require occasionally commuting into the Arlington headquarters.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the company.
  • Creates variance analysis reports and financial models.
  • Analyzes actuals against budget/forecast and prior year.
  • Works with the Finance team and broader leadership team to set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives for various parts of the business.
  • Completes market research and comparative analysis of market drivers and trends.
  • Recommends strategies for increasing financial performance and efficiency.
  • Supports the development of detailed monthly financial reports used for the review of the Executive Leadership team, other company management and the Board.
  • Uses financial planning and analysis software on the job to collect, analyze, report, and project relevant financial and operational data.
  • Collaborates with senior members of the accounting and finance teams.

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related major or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Must have at least 2+ years of experience in an FP&A role.
  • Prior healthcare industry experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrates excellent financial and quantitative skills.
  • Communicates effectively and has strong presentation skills.
  • Works independently using project management skills.
  • Familiarity with Workday/Adaptive, Sage/Intacct, or similar financial, accounting, and reporting tools is a plus
